An unattended bag or package would usually cause major concern at an airport. Knowing the responsible thing to do, pro skater Tony Hawk took to his Twitter account @tonyhawk yesterday to report some abandoned luggage.
The tweets weren’t intended to alert authorities, though, but to instead give away an extra skateboard he wasn’t allowed to bring with him on an easyJet flight out of Barcelona. Hawk doesn’t make it clear why the board couldn’t…er…board, but he ended up discarding his wheels in a trash bin outside of Barcelona Airport’s easyJet terminal for his devoted followers to find.

After a few valiant attempts to procure the goods were made, lucky tweeter @tescandell posted this twitpic as proof that he had won the scavenger hunt, proudly displaying the once-hidden skateboard loot.
While easyJet has clear baggage instructions on its website stating that each passenger is allowed one standard piece of carry-on baggage, there’s no mention of the ubiquitous personal item. Had the skateboarding legend been unable to part with his board, we would have suggested he check out TripAdvisor’s sister site SeatGuru, which has a handy guide to luggage shipping services.
