TripAdvisor Adds Train Travel Options to its Flight Search

Are you planning a trip to Europe, but want to avoid some of the hassle that comes with going to the airport during your vacation? If so, we have a new feature you may be interested in checking out here on TripAdvisor.

Today, we announced the beta launch of train travel options in our TripAdvisor Flights meta-search engine. Now, when you conduct a flight search on TripAdvisor for cities across continental Europe, we’ll display rail itineraries alongside flight choices for routes where it’s relevant and in some cases priced even cheaper than air travel, such as London to Paris or Frankfurt to Brussels.

You can now easily compare air and train options across continental Europe with TripAdvisor Flights.

In addition, you’ll be able to access all of the helpful tools offered by our flight search, including our innovative fees estimator, which allows you to easily compare the true cost of your flight and train options.

When conducting a flight search between European cities, just look out for the “Take the Train” filter right above the search results. Rail travel options will be marked with an orange train icon.

The feature is available today for TripAdvisor Flights on our websites in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. You can also access train options through the TripAdvisor mobile apps and website.
