Earlier this summer, TripAdvisor launched European rail travel options for its flight meta-search engine, TripAdvisor Flights. It’s a helpful way for you to explore all of your transportation options when researching trips to Europe, with the “all-in” costs, including common air and rail fees, easily available through our Fees Estimator tool.
If you’re interested in learning more about taking the train on a trip, but don’t know where to start, TripAdvisor recently launched a new FAQ guide for our new rail feature, and why train travel may be a good option for your upcoming European escape.
For instance, many train routes travel from city center to city center, so you won’t need to hop in a taxi to a remote airport to catch a flight. Also, you can often skip the hassle of airport security and avoid fees charged by airlines for amenities like advanced seat assignment and checked baggage.
